Comcast cable box setup problems

Attempt #4 started with two new X1 set top boxes picked up from the store. One box setup easily and the second was a complete failure with the "voice guidance" loop issue right away. I had the bright idea to use the same adapter and coaxial cables in order to prove the connection was set up properly and that problem was with the box itself.
