Taking the ferry across Mobile Bay from Fort Morgan to Dauphin Island provides a good start for a tour of the area south of Mobile. The ride takes about 30 minutes and while on the water you get a good view of several gas rigs in the bay. Our only problem with the ferry involved trying to find out if it was running.
