I tried it out with the mag carrier when shooting just to see how it worked out. How I like it sitting on my chest is a little too high for mags, imo. Also, I used the same tape method for a bit. You can order a 1.5” tri glide buckle and get rid of the tape while still having secure straps and adjustability.
