The first funeral home in Montezuma was established by S.F. Steffy in 1931. After the war, Mrs. Steffy was joined in the business by her son Keith and his wife Jean. They purchased the present location where Holland-Coble Funeral home is located in 1941. In 1947, the Steffy's purchased the Ross Funeral Home also located in Montezuma.
