It should pop up a dialog allowing you to restart or shut down, after holding down the power button for about 3 or 4 seconds. Keep holding it down another 3-4 seconds and it should just shut down. Just hold power button, sometimes it need 15-30 sec. Some times over few mins but it always restarts.
