Recently had the oil changed and the carbs cleaned and it runs as good as the day I bought it new. This bike is almost bulletproof.

1. Turning the ignition key every lamp that should turn on, turned on. 2. When pushing the start button, the starter motor engages as it should. 3. 3 out of 4 times (approx) the engine doesnt fire. Not so much as a fart or misfire. 4. The 4th time (approx) the engine starts right away exactly as it used to.Check for oil around the spark plug cavity and then explore this further. On the 1500, the service manul says a special tool is need to pull the spark plug tubes, but you can fashion a tool out of the rear axle nut and unscrew the tube. I'd bet the 800 is similar.
