As for caliber, I personally prefer the .45 ACP. With the right mags, the Pro Carry II 9mm is fine; however, it's not for me.

The CDP went through a few minor changes prior to the Series II guns. The primary thing I think was they reduced the amount of the carry melt treatment a little. The basic difference between Series II and pre-series II (like yours) is the Series II guns have a Swartz firing pin safety.
