Hi everyone - Last year I was able to pick up a really nice King Cobra Match to go with my original Python. I'm looking to add to my collection with the King Cobra .22, however I was seeing some internet reviews that indicated some quality problems with the cylinder - that it would rotate freely under some conditions on some guns.The Cobra is smaller than a K-frame, about the size of a Charter Arms Bulldog .44spl. The 686, even with a 3" barrel is a completely different animal, much larger frame and cylinder much heavier. They're nice guns but, IMO, you have to really commit to carrying a larger framed revolver, regardless of weight.686 has larger frame than King Cobra. It's not a direct comparison. The 686 is comparable to the Colt Python. King Cobra is more comparable to SW K frame. Both are great revolvers. Try out the size comparison and choose one that fit you better.
