You can use this component while holding something in your hand, but not if you are restrained or otherwise unable to gesture freely. but the Interact action seems to imply that any ..., targeted icon is not damaged only selected icon is damaged. This is the inherent sheet owner security model of Foundry that PF2e inherits. So it is a UX issue that the player thinks the targeting icon will be damaged from selected icons attack because that makes actual sense (and how other systems have done it), but it is the target owner that has to click damage not the selected attacker.
